I am constantly educating myself on structure, breeding and pedigree theories through seminars and online classes. My breed knowledge is extensive and my dogs have some of the best temperaments I have ever seen in tollers. I strive to ensure that the hunting instinct is preserved on my pups, and introduce them to birds very early.
Enrichment and Socialization
I do everything I can to raise well-adjusted pups that will be comfortable in your home environment. I utilize the Avidog enrichment program which starts with early neurological stimulation and exposure to many scents, sounds, textures and objects. Pups learn the beginnings of crate training and potty training. I utilize the following enrichment methods: Basic Manners, Human Interactions , All our puppies are exposed to new sights, sounds, smells, surfaces, big dogs, small dogs, adults and children and get regular indoor and outdoor exercise and mental stimulation., Early stages of crate training, Temperament imprinting Evaluation , Structures, e.g. Climbing, Early Neurological Stimulation, Grooming Desensitization, Sound Stimulation, Socialized with Cats, Socialized with Adult Dogs, Socialized with Children.

Health Guarantee
We typically have only 1 to 2 litters a year. Rather than keeping a waiting list, we match puppies to the best applications we have on file at the time of evaluation. We give preference to applicants that wish to do performance sports, hunting or conformation with their dogs. Outstanding pet homes will also be considered.

All puppies are vaccinated, microchipped and taken to the vet for a well check before going to their forever home.
We offer a 2 year health guarantee on genetic defects that negatively impact the Dog's quality of life.
We are part of the Trupanion Breeder Support Program and are happy to offer you pet insurance at a discount with immediate coverage.
Parent dog health tests
Mystic Tollers prides itself in our extensive and publicly viewable health testing of breeding stock. All breeding stock are tested for OFA hips and elbows, yearly CAER eye exams, patellas, OFA cardiac, and for the following genetic conditions: PRA-prcd, JADD, CPS, CLPS, CDDY, CLAM, DE, DM, CDMC
Breeding Considerations
Health, temperament, structure and drive are our top priorities in breeding. All of our breeding stock are health tested for all the available breed tests. Temperament is evaluated using Volhard Aptitude Tests, as well as our own experiences with the pups as we raise them. Pedigrees are thoroughly studied to decide on the best pairings to improve upon our breeding stock.
