Experienced Breeders
We are AKC breeders of Merit and have bred many well accomplished dogs in the field and the show ring. We began breeding under the mentorship of Kathy Koebensky-Como and her late Husband, Jamie, who founded Vermilion Tollers in 1995. Since then, they have been breeding the ultimate versatile Tollers. You can rest assured that our knowledge of the breed comes from mentors who have been involved in tollers since before their recognition by the AKC. We breed because we love the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Breed and we wish to preserve it.

Our primary breeding goal is to produce versatile Nova Scotia Duck Tolling retrievers to meet the breed standard. A dog that can do it all.
Health, temperament, structure and drive are our top priorities in breeding. All our breeding stock are health tested for all the available breed tests. Temperament and structure is evaluated and breedings are carefully planned. If you buy from us, don’t expect to choose your own puppy. We do extensive evaluations of all our pups to best match them to your family and your needs.
